Summer Class Registration

Registration for the following summer classes is still open:

iPad Apps for the Language Arts Common Core - August 6th
Prerequisite:
  Participants must be familiar with either iPad, have an iTunes account,  and bring their own iPad to the workshop with themiPad must be updated with the latest operating system. 

The Common Core Standards present a new challenge for educators. Let us help you align your instruction to these standards while integrating the iPad’s revolutionary technology into your classroom. Join us as we explore iPad apps that support the Common Core Standards in Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening and Language, all while simultaneously meeting the embedded Media and Technology requirements!   

Participants will receive a $50 iTunes gift card to download apps right away.

iPad Apps for the Highly Effective Administrator - August 8th

PREREQUISITE:
  Participants must be familiar with either iPad or iPad 2, have an iTunes account,  and bring their own iPad to the workshop with them.  

The iPad can be and is one of the most powerful tools for productivity. However the key is to arm yourself with the right apps and services. Discover what it takes to be a highly effective iPad administrator as we explore a variety of apps that will not only empower but inspire you to take your iPad use to the next level. From Evernote to iAnnotate PDF, attendees will have a chance to fill out walkthrough and evaluation forms, develop a consistent workflow with documents, and learn best practices for digitizing, cataloging, and storing all types of printed notes and materials. Participants will receive an iPad case with hand strap, stylus and $50 iTunes gift card to download apps. Become the highly productive and successful administrator you’ve always dreamed of; become a highly effective iPad administrator!

LWI/LWI Apple TV & Projector: Teach the Whole Class from Your iPad - August 9th
The Apple TV provides many options that can be useful in the classroom.  Mirroring your iPad, creating a digital display, and accessing the variety of apps available makes using the Apple TV a great solution!  Join us to learn about using this amazing device and how to connect to your new HDMI compatible projector. Participants will receive an Apple TV, HDMI Cable and an Epson EX5210 projector.

This is a two-hour class that runs from 1:00-3:00pm
