SOITA offers several choices for professional development and student learning via distance learning.
TeleTechs provide 50 minutes of training in topics ranging from curriculum integration, Google, iPads, and web resources to the latest equipment that are of interest to educators. These sessions are video streamed so you can watch them live on your computer, tablet, or smartphone! These are a great way to keep current with the ever-changing world of classroom technology!
Content for Students are value-added interactive video conferences targeted to specific curriculum topics and grade levels and are each aligned to the Ohio Academic Content Standards. Sessions are offered on various dates and each session is offered at four different times during the day. Each session is 50 minutes in length and students will be able to interact with the SOITA instructors in these rich curriculum areas. There is a limit of four sites in each session which allows for maximum student participation.
Our 1-2-1 sessions are distance learning opportunities that allow the district to tailor the topic of a video conference or video stream to fit the professional development needs of their own staff or students.
