Whether you are looking to learn about the newest online tools and resources, find out how you can create engaging lessons, or move towards a collaborative, paperless classroom with Google Apps for Education, SOITA has a class for you!

Level Up with MakeCode Arcade
Dust off those high scores and bring the magic of the arcade into your curriculum! This hands-on workshop introduces educators to the fundamentals of block-based coding through the lens of retro video game design using Microsoft MakeCode Arcade. No prior coding experience? No problem. We’ll guide you from creating your very first sprite to building a fully functional 8-bit style game.

In this hands-on workshop, teachers will be introduced to Cricut Design Space. Whether you’re new to crafting or looking to expand your creative toolkit, this session will guide you through the design space, machine setup, and how to design and create projects.
